Councillor Clark declared an interest in the application relating to IR and left the meeting before the case was discussed or voted on.

RESOLVED that the press and public be excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the items contain exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

The Executive Director for Growth, Enterprise and Environment asked Members to consider whether HM was a fit and proper person to continue to hold a Private Hire Driver Licence.

HM was present at the meeting.

RESOLVED that having taken all the facts into consideration and the Council’s guidelines the Panel concluded that HM was not a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Driver Licence and that his licence be revoked with immediate effect.

At this point Councillor Clark left the meeting.

The Executive Director for Growth, Enterprise and Environment asked Members to consider whether IR was a fit and proper person to continue to hold a Private Hire Driver Licence.

IR was present at the meeting.

RESOLVED that having taken all the facts into consideration and the Council’s guidelines IR be allowed to continue to hold his Private Hire Driver Licence.
